The 2022 3 Series has a 15.6-gallon fuel tank in each model. The fuel tank capacity is one of the few aspects that doesn’t change in any BMW 3 Series model, but it can hold more than enough fuel to get the job done. The EV models of the car come with a 10.6-gallon fuel tank taking full advantage of the improved MPGs to offer miles of range.
The 3 Series has a max range of over 560 miles on the 330i trim level. Since there’s a lot of different trim levels, obviously some will return better gas mileage than other trim levels. Looking at the 2022 330i, it’ll get 26mpg city, 36 miles per gallon highway city, for 30 miles per gallon combined. Looking at the other side of the scale, the more powerful 2022 M3 gets 16mpg city, 23mpg highway city, and 19mpg combined.

The engine above the base 2.0L is the 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 382hp on the 2022 M340i and 473 horsepower on the 2022 M3.
