Concept Vehicles to Debut at Monterey Car Week

Two concept BMW cars will be unveiled at a press conference on Thursday, August 17 at the Pebble Beach Concours dElegance, as the all-new BMW Z4 Concept roadster makes its world premiere appearance and the acclaimed BMW Concept 8 Series makes its exclusive North American premiere. Scheduled speakers include Bernhard Kuhnt, President CEO BMW of North America and Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW Group Head of Design.

The 8 Series name returns to the BMW lineup after an 18-year hiatus, and this Concept 8 Series is a preview of the upcoming BMW 8 Series Coupe that will arrive at dealerships in 2018. The BMW Concept 8 Series made its world debut in May at the Concorso dEleganza Villa dEste and will also appear at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on Friday, August 18 and on the Concept Lawn on Sunday, August 20.

The BMW Z4 Concept, which previews a model that will also be available at dealerships in 2018, will make its only public North American appearance on the Concept Lawn on Sunday, August 20. In a press release, van Hooydonk was quoted as stating, The BMW Concept 8 Series is our take on a full-blooded high-end driving machine. It is a luxurious sports car which embodies both unadulterated dynamics and modern luxury like arguably no other. For me, its a slice of pure automotive fascination.
